Andy Murray Betting
Andy Murray is seeded number one in Britain and number four in the world. He is Britain’s biggest hope for a single’s Grand Slam title since Fred Perry won some 74 years ago. Andy Murray has a real chance of gaining this title in the future, but at the moment he still is not good enough, he will need to wait at least another year or two. Andy Murray has competed in two Grand Slam finals, the 2008 US Open final and 2010 Australian Open final, losing both times to Roger Federer quite convincingly. He has won five ATP Masters Series tournaments, and has been runner up once. Having a win-loss ratio of 234-83 (73.82%) and over $11,000,000 in career prize money, the future looks bright for Murray seeing as he is still in his early 20’s.
Online tennis betting has benefited from someone such as Andy Murray as Britain desperately wants him to win but before you go to betting on Andy Murray, you need to understand the faults with doing so. Naturally, most of the online tennis betting has come from the British public as they will be betting on Andy Murray or the British player to win, because we are so patriotic but this is one of the worst things to do. Unfortunately this is for multiple reasons.
Why Andy Murray Betting is doomed...
The main reason Andy Murray tennis betting is doomed is because Andy Murray betting odds are not good. This is purely because of the majority of people who will be betting on Andy Murray will be betting on him to win, and so betting companies have to give bad odds for you. If he did win, they’d be giving out a fortune. Secondly Andy Murray betting to win is doomed to failure because his chances of winning are poor, he isn’t good enough or experienced enough yet and this has been proven. In his two Grand Slam finals, Andy Murray betting rocketed with people expecting him to win but he has been taken to pieces by the hands of Roger Federer in straight sets.
Britain wants to see Murray win Wimbledon and he has an outside chance but not whilst Nadal is playing like he is. The only British hope has been taken to pieces in the semis in the last two years. Betting on Andy Murray has the best chance of success in the US Open as Murrays best surface is hard court and he will be looking to finish the season strong with a good US Open run, and maybe even a final berth of even a win, but it does seem unlikely. With Nadal in the form of his life, Del Potro being one of the best players on hard court and having to play against the master that is Federer, it seems unlikely that he can win, but there is a chance of an upset.
Save any form of Andy Murray tennis betting until late 2011 or 2012.
