Novak Djokavic Betting

Serbia was once dominating both men’s and women’s tennis and the stand out male player was Novak Djokavic. The Serbian has already won a Grand Slam back in 2008 at the Australian and was runner up in the US Open in 2007. He has five Masters Series titles, one World Tour finals title and a bronze medal for the Olympics to his name and he’s still in his early 20’s with all his major competitors.

With a win-loss ratio of 276-89 (75.6%) and a career prize money total of over $17,000,000 Novak Djokavic is a well experienced player  who will no doubt be a star in years to come although he is currently ranked 2nd in the world. Novak Djokavic tennis betting has seen a huge rise since the Australian Open in 2008.

Theres a problem with betting on Novak Djokavic

The problem with betting on Novak Djokavic is the fact that he is so erratic. One day he could be playing tennis that nobody can match and then the day after he could be paying awfully. This means you can never really tell if he would be a good bet or not, although most of the time he is not. After his win in Australia in 2008, Djokavic hasn’t been back to a Grand Slam final, losing mainly in semi-finals and quarter finals and betting on Novak Djokavic has gone into a decline.

After an above average performance at 2010 Wimbledon, Novak Djokavic betting started to rise again and Novak Djokavic will be likely to have a good 2010 US Open run, especially as it is his best surface. Novak Djokavic tennis betting will see even more of a rise if he  made a final and if he has a good day then he could win it, but this is still unlikely. Novak Djokavic’s result in the US Open will ultimately shape how well he does in the tour finals and the Australian Open. If he has a good campaign in USA then he could be a contender to win one of the two titles, if not both and that could improve Novak Djokavic betting dramatically.

I believe betting on Djokavic for the 2010 US Open is a bad idea, depending on how well his build up goes, as it is likely that he will lose. But if by some miracle he wins or at least does well, then betting on Novak Djokavic for 2011 Australian Open or the 2010 World Tour finals would be a great idea.
