Thomas Berdych

Recently Thomas Berdych has been playing some truly amazing tennis, and has been boosted up to 7th in the world. The Czech has been going relatively unnoticed and has only won five tournaments, one ATP World Tour masters, one ATP World Tour 500 event and three ATP World Tour 250 events. Although he has been consistently getting to quarter finals of World Tour master events, which saw him climb and stay at 13th in the world. Now he has shot up to 8th which is a career high. Before 2010 Berdych had only got to one quarter final in a Grand Slam in Wimbledon 2007, but with that exception he had been only getting to the 4th round on a regular basis.

Thomas Berdych, who is now getting into his middle 20’s, has a win-loss ratio of 253-154 (62%) and a career prize money total of over $6,500,000, most of which has come in 2010, making betting on Thomas Berdych a good risk in the later stages of 2010.

Why betting on Thomas Berdych is such a good idea

With Thomas Berdych’s current form being so good, it is hard to overlook him for 2010 US Open but it is probably best that you do. Having only ever got the to the 4th round before, it is unlikely that he will surpass this. This was the same for both the French Open and Wimbledon in which he made the semi-finals and final, so who knows what Berdych could end up accomplishing. It looks like betting on Thomas Berdych could be a good idea.

So far Berdych has got to a semi-final and then improved to getting to a final, and this could quite easily improve once more to a Grand Slam title, but who knows what he will do. If his continuous improvement is anything to go by, betting on Thomas Berdych could be one of the best ideas for the 2010 US Open. If Berdych can stay in the top 10 long enough for the World Tour finals in London, that is where he is likely to succeed, as the court will suit his playing style, and he should be in great form to finish his year, adding another reason to why betting on Thomas Berdych is such a good idea.

The story could be the same for 2011 Australian Open as it is for 2010 US Open, who knows what he can achieve, but after the 2010 French Open and Wimbledon, it looks like betting on Thomas Berdych could be a success story.
If he has a good run up of tournaments, Thomas Berdych has a real shot at winning the 2010 US Open. If he did win it, betting on Thomas Berdych for the 2010 World Tour masters would be a very good idea.
